Senior Mortgage Advisor
I am originally from Asheville, NC, where I spent my childhood with four siblings playing baseball, working in our small family garden, and raising a few cattle. My father transferred to Utah the summer I finished 9th grade. I spent junior high and high school years in Salt Lake City, Utah, and attended my first year of undergraduate studies at the University of Utah. I moved to Myrtle Beach in 1984 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of South Carolina, at the Coastal Carolina and Columbia campuses.
I became a licensed realtor in 1996 and represented Burroughs & Chapin, a privately owned Real Estate Investment Trust and one of the area’s largest landowners for the past 100 years. As a B&C Heritage Communities sales manager, I had the privilege of a leadership role in building sales teams and developing operational and sales standards at Magnolia Place, Magnolia North, and The Gardens at Cypress Bay, Riverwalk, and Azalea Lakes.
My experience and understanding of golf course communities led me to a sales position at World-Class Barefoot Resort. I further developed experience and knowledge of the Myrtle Beach rental market and private golf course residences. Barefoot Resort offers high-rise and low-rise condominiums, townhomes, and private homes on four highly acclaimed golf courses along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway from under $100k to more than $2-million.
I teamed up with Burroughs & Chapin again in 2011 to represent Grande Dunes, their 2,500-acre master-planned semi-private coastal community that stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the west side of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. Price points range from the low $200,000s to more than $3-million.
I had the great fortune to assist families and investors purchase more than $100-million in real estate in my 10-years as a realtor. With a focus on efficiency and exceptional customer experiences, I bring my intimate understanding of the Myrtle Beach real estate market to the residential mortgage industry, providing our mutual clients with a unique perspective and sensitivity of the purchase-to-close sales process.
